Waiting on the Lord

These are some beautiful passages from the Bible about waiting on the Lord. They blessed me and I wanted to share. I put them in something of an order: from the promises to the prayers to the self-exhortation to the sweet final reality.

Lamentations 3:25 The Lord is good to those who wait for him, to the soul who seeks him.
Psalm 25:3 Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame; ...
Psalm 39:7 “And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you.
Genesis 49:18 I wait for your salvation, O Lord.
Isaiah 33:2 O Lord, be gracious to us; we wait for you. Be our arm every morning, our salvation in the time of trouble.
Psalm 130:5 I wait for the Lord, my soul waits, and in his word I hope;
Psalm 27:14 Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!
Isaiah 25:9 It will be said on that day, “Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, that he might save us. This is the Lord; we have waited for him; let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.”
Isaiah 40:31 but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Psalm 40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord; he inclined to me and heard my cry.

Moreover, I possess none of the externally obvious signs that would indicate that I deserve to be rocking out like it's nobody's business (e.g. I don't care what you think musician outfit, “cool” ethnicity, etc.). Therefore I must daily find a way to perform my latest hits without the hundreds of people I see in traffic noticing. So I improvise. At the stop light, if I pull up in between the two cars in the next lane over, neither of them can really tell what I'm doing. Rock on my friend. If I can't hit one of those sweet spots between cars, I might just do every other line ...wishin they was dancin a jig... ciga-cigar right from Cuba-Cu-ba ... They might think they saw something, do a double take, but loo
